We had enjoyable 1 day here, the room was well-designed with wonderful touches of colour, a lovely view and beautiful decor. Location: the hotel was near to all the Hawke's Bay vineyards, and beautiful grounds. Also, it was 2 miles from Hastings Golf Club.
Nothing to fault!

Our stay at Irongate Retreat was an very nice value for the money. The room was spotlessly clean, spacious, and the beds were fabulously comfortable. The hotel is located in a beautiful and quiet area, perfect for a relaxing getaway. Lynn and Dave, the staff, gave us a warm family welcome and were helpful throughout our stay. They made us feel right at home.
The only thing that could have made the breakfast selection better is if there were more vegetarian options available.

We had a wonderful Xmas stay! The breakfast was delicious and the hosts were friendly and attentive. The location was great - we felt like we were in the middle of nature, surrounded by beautiful orchards. The rooms were comfortable and the bedding was clean and cozy. We also appreciated the warm fire during the cold winter nights.
One thing that could be improved was the shower. There was very little water and the water pressure was low, making it difficult to shower properly.

The lovely gardens surrounding this hotel are a standout feature, with the peaceful, rural area providing a serene backdrop. Despite this, it is still conveniently located close to all amenities and attractions, providing ease and convenience during your stay. the friendly service and comfortable rooms make for an enjoyable experience, with guests resting easy thanks to the soft bedding and fresh bath towels.
Some guests may find that the carpet in the rooms is rough, which can be uncomfortable for sensitive feet.
